The Mahogany Butte Ranch was homesteaded in 1884 and the Hampton Sheep Co. was founded on the ranch by Carl Hampton in 1954. Today, the Hampton Sheep Co. no longer raises sheep but focuses solely on high quality, grass-fed Black Angus cattle. For over 60 years the Hampton family has built a tradition of natural and ethical ranching which produces high value beef.
